MANISH PATEL

Coming: SECOND CHILDHOOD (Adult Non-Fiction)

Despite being a Physical Therapist and having a great education, I am not sure I would be considered an avid learner in view of the fact that I am not much of a reader. I consider myself an eternal student because I love dialogue. I love listening and sharing with my patients (most of whom are seniors), my family and friends, and the people I am lucky to come across in life. I don’t think I have become the person I want to be, but I am on my way, with serious effort.

I used to feel it was so cliché to say things like, “this journey has taught me so much about myself and made me a better husband and father”. But, it’s true, it’s considered a cliché for a reason and that reason is it’s usually true. I have become a better son, husband, and father to my children, as a result of this journey. What started as a project to improve myself based on inspiration, I received from my friend Shriraj, soon turned into this book and an absolute dedication to not only realigning myself, but also taking this idea of ‘positive ways’ and ‘strong family ties’ out to the world.

If I could chat with each of you, I would do so. Since that isn’t possible, I engage with you through my book, Second Childhood.

HARRIET CAMMOCK

Newest Release: MUSING OF THE SPIRIT (Adult Non-Fiction)

It doesn't matter how you start, it matters how you finish. This can be said of Harriet Cammock's life. Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Harriet's journey is one marked by a strong faith in the belief that you can overcome, if you try hard enough.

Through childhood, her grandmother instilled in her a drive to succeed. After an abusive marriage, Harriet determined she would use her own experiences in overcoming abuse to teach other women that there is help available. She channeled those experiences in writing and through her blog, The Grace Chronicles, she provides inspirational and uplifitng messages to many people.

Harriet began The Faith Hour in 2009 and used this platform to launch The Renewed By Grace Conference which was designed to bring together men and women whose lives were touched by abuse. "I want to show women that you don't have to look like what you went through," Harriet said. Using creative resources and with involvement from other community organizations, Harriet plans to host another conference sometime in the next several months.

A published author, she now hosts The Harriet Cammock Show. The Harriet Cammock Show uses principles of surviving and overcoming; principles that Harriet learned first-hand. Harriet has appeared on The Word Network and Atlanta Live! and is a guest writer for The Hinterland Gazette. A gifted speaker, Harriet is available for speaking engagements.

CANDACE A. CARRIGER

Newest Release: INSIDE MY GARDEN (Child Fiction)

Candace A. Carriger is an Author and a Teacher of Creative Movement and Dance with high emphasis on literacy development. From an early age, she knew of her calling to dance. Candace expressed her love for dance through performance, choreography, and costume design, all along continually educating herself about the world of dance through undergrad and graduate degrees, certifications in various techniques, and scholarships with world-renown dance companies.

As Candace's knowledge increased, she began to yearn to share her gifts with others, primarily children. She focused on early childhood dance education, understanding the importance of the arts to a well-rounded education. She began to include music and art into her dance themes and her programs evolved to encompass creative moment.

Candace understood how important it was to develop the right brain along with the more technical left brain. As a result, she began to combine literacy into her programs, through reading storybooks to children. The storybooks became a focal point in lessons as Candace incorporated books relative to the current theme and that supported movement - skipping, jumping, twirling, falling, running, etc. Children were now strengthening their minds and bodies in a fun, creative environment.

The outcome of Candace's explorations is The Dance Lab, a company she founded in 2005 to help children build a positive self-image; connect cognition with physical growth; develop individual creative thought processes; strengthen aesthetic development; explore independent and cooperative problem-solving and decision-making skills; and so much more. Candace's enhanced programs afforded children to expand bodily awareness, improve physical strength and stamina, increase flexibility and coordination, experiment with movement potentials, and enhance focus, attention, and concentration.

Candace loves to provide opportunities for all children to experience her programs. She has taught children with special needs including Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Tourette Syndrome, Nonverbal Language Disorder, and Attention Deficit Disorder. Her experiences have also addressed several physically challenged students as well. Candace is sensitive to the needs of all children that interact with the Dance Lab. Many children with individual challenges have seen improved confidence, self-accomplishment, and a sense of calm while moving with Candace.

As you can read, all of Candace's passions revolve around helping to raise our young children into well-balanced, confident adults who appreciate the value of strengthening the mind and body through interrelated activities. Candace dreams of leaving a legacy of books, movement and dance programs that can be used by future generations to connect their minds and bodies, thus centering their souls.

INEZ R. REILLY

Newest Release: HOW TO TASTE IT AT THE END OF THE DAY - EDITION 2 (Adult Fiction)

Coming: LIKE A ROARING LION (Adult Fiction)

Inez R. Reilly is a Christian Minister, Elder, Book Author, Radio Personality, and Motivational Speaker. Inez has been blessed with the gift of communication channels to help others work through everyday issues as they relate to matters of the soul. Inez has spent over twenty years sharing her testimony to help others overcome past pains that stagnate their growth into the 'beauty of now'.

As a survivor of emotional, sexual and physical abuse, in addition to daunting financial and physical challenges, Inez knows the meaning of standing in lieu of adversity. Yes, she has fallen, crawled, walked, and even stopped at points, as with us all. Yet, Inez gets back on her feet, as called by God, and she moves toward the positive vision tattooed on her soul. That vision is to spread love to all she touches, whether by written or spoken word.

Many people still hear the word 'Christian' and shun away, thinking a sermon is about to take place whether at the church, grocery store, or movie theater. Christianity has so many negative connotations these days that it can be a challenge to live by one's Christian faith without being summed up as a fanatic, religious, deviant with secret sins. We all hear the chatter and some of us initiate that chatter.

Inez does not pretend to be perfect; neither does she pretend to have all of the answers. She is very open to learning of the faiths that sustain other cultures. It is important to embrace the globe and the wonderful treasures across the nations as they relate to anything positive that can help humankind sustain with positivism.

Inez challenges people to question their faith, whatever denomination or religion so that people continually hone themselves into their own likeness. Inez believes our likeness is that of our Creator, God Almighty, and she passionately advocates for people to be in that likeness. As much as we can learn from each other, books, sermons, seminars, and so on, true learning comes from listening to God as God is our Wiser; God is our Rock; God is our Truth; God is Love.

Inez is simply honored to be called to serve as a host of God by spreading love on any path she crosses. There is no special formula, remedy, solution, that Inez follows as love is unconditionally spontaneous. She shares with each soul based on the 'beauty of now', making that exchange between Inez and others unique and special to that moment.

As we may not seem perfect to each other - physically, emotionally, spiritually - we are God's perfect Play-Doh. As Play-Doh, we are constantly molded using intangible compounds (such as environment, faith, experience, class, perception, culture, etc.) that define our past, present, and future thoughts as they affect us in the now.
